Obituary of Chip Stahl

"Chip" James Douglas Stahl Jr. was born May 25, 1952, to James Douglas Stahl Sr. and Louise May Accetta in Oceanside, California. On June 11, 2023, Chip passed away at 71 in the comfort of his home in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. In 1972, Chip was drafted into the Army and was stationed in Naples, Italy, and Fort Huachuca, Arizona. He was awarded four metals; National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Marksman Badge, and The Army Commendation Medal. Chip was honorably discharged in 1977. Chip received a bachelor's degree in Business. He worked as a Long-Term Health Care Administrator at Havasu Nursing Center, Silver Ridge Village, Prestige Assisted Living, and Lake View Terrace. He also worked with Coast to Coast Athletics Baseball, coaching travel ball and as an Assistant Coach for LHHS since 1992. On December 18, 1971, Chip married his loving wife, Jamee Stahl, in Libertyville, Illinois. Chip and Jamee were married 53 years and share two children, Shannon Stahl (Plane) and Cullen Stahl. They have two grandchildren, Brittney Delgado, and Amanda Robert. They also have two great-grandchildren, Layla, and Connor Delgado. Chip loved baseball. Over the years, Coach Stahl provided his baseball knowledge, skills, and attitudes to thousands of kids. He was an avid baseball card collector and enjoyed reading and spending time with his family. Chip was a member of the NRA and American Coaches Association. Chip is survived by his wife, Jamee Stahl; his daughter, Shannon (Daniel) Plane; son, Cullen Stahl; brothers, Frank (Lori) Stahl, Mike(Andree') Stahl, Chuck (Wendy) Stahl; his sisters; Dotti Dugan, Roxi Zimmer, grandchildren, Brittney (David) Delgado, Amanda (Tre) Robert, great-grandchildren Layla and Connor Delgado, and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Lou Stahl. Chip will be missed by his family and friends. Scripture Services will be held July 15, 2023, at Our Lady of the Lake Church at 11:00 am.
