Obituary of John Marshall Wojtaszek

John Marshall Wojtaszek, age 74, passed away on Thursday, April 27, 2023, in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. John was born in Bradford, Pennsylvania on November 30, 1948. He grew up in Lancaster, New York, where he enlisted in the Air Force in 1966. He met and married his wife, Sandy in 1976. He retired as a Master Sergeant in 1986 from Elmendorf Air Force Base in Anchorage, Alaska. He continued to serve in the Air Force for another 17 years as a civilian. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Sandra Wojtaszek, children, Cynthia Link-Hussey, Jeffrey Link, Stacy Armstrong, Karu Wojtaszek, and Joseph Wojtaszek, 6 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. John and Sandy moved from Wasilla, Alaska to Kingman, Arizona in 2019 to enjoy retirement in a warmer environment. One of John’s (Woj, as he was known to his friends) favorite pastimes was fishing in Seward, Alaska. Any weekend he could, he was in Seward. He truly was at home when fishing and nothing made him happier than spending time with friends and family around the campfire after a long day of fishing. When not fishing and at home, he would spend his weekends hanging out in the garage. He would have the garage door open, tv on, and invite anyone to come in and enjoy a beer with him.
