Obituary of Janice Lee Toftey

Janice Lee Toftey, age 80, of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, passed away Easter Sunday, April 9, 2023. She was born July 28, 1942 in Duluth, MN, grew up in Grand Marais, and also lived in Minneapolis and Chicago. Jan was very proud of her North Shore (of Lake Superior) roots. She worked for Cargill and Volkswagen before moving to Sara Lee Corporation, where she managed the office of the chairman and CEO. This position enabled opportunities for her to travel the world and have numerous interesting experiences. Jan had a zest for life that enriched everyone around her. Her love of art and her creativity was evident in all that she did. She is survived by her son, Bruce Friesth, brother Robert (Gail)Toftey, sisters Diane Toftey Loh, Cheri Toftey (Jim Johnson), Deborah Toftey Melhado, eight nieces and nephews and eleven grand-nieces and nephews. She will be deeply missed by all.
