Lake Havasu City Resident since 1987 John Henry Vance Finney III, "Van", passed away August 26, 2012. Born December 5, 1950 in Chicago, Illinois; Van was raised in Denver, Colorado.
For years Van worked for multiple radio stations in the area doing advertising and sales. After leaving radio sales he worked for Bradley Ford, Bradley Chevy, and Riverview. In April of 2008 Van started the Laugh Out Loud Funny Papers and in that same year became a member of the Lake Havasu Men's Bowling Association Hall of Fame. He also scored a perfect 300 game on lanes 1 and 2 of Havasu Lanes on February 2, 2010. Van was also a proud member of the Elks for sixteen years.
Having grown up in Denver, he was a huge Denver Broncos Fan but he was also passionate about bowling, riding his Harley and laughing. He is remembered most for his sense of humor, smile, laughs and bad jokes.
Van was preceded in death by his parents, John Henry Vance Jr. and Emma Mae Finney, and his sister Margo Hendricks.
