Donald Edwin Keister, known to his family as “Doodle”, passed away on March 07, 2023 at the age of 75 in LHC, AZ. He was born in Canton, OH on October 10, 1947 to Dwight and Eileen Keister. He attended Minerva high school. He played football and wrestling but he ended up graduating from Timken High school in Ohio. He married his lovely wife Emilie on February 22, 1972 in Orange California and had three sons together Donald JR “Donnie”, Robert and John. Donald also served his country. He worked for The Huntington Beach Water Department and The Jurupa Water Department and Donald retired from The Lake Havasu Water Department. Donald enjoyed fishing, camping, being on the water and visiting family and friends in Ohio. He was also very social, in Havasu he was always known to have his red ball cap on and he went by “City Don” He was a head strong but loving man, and held his family and friends near and dear to his heart. He was also a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. Donald is preceded in death by his beloved wife Emilie of 38 years. His parents Dwight and Eileen, and his brother Dennis Leroy Keister. He is survived by his sons Donald JR “Donnie”, Robert, and John Keister and his sisters Beverly Murphy and Carole Lance. He is also survived by his grandchildren Jasmine and Kale and nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews in Colorado and Ohio.
