Darlene Joy Candee, 90, of Lake Havasu City, AZ passed away peacefully on November 13th with her family by her side. She was born to Bernard and Grace Morrison on November 6, 1932 in Tacoma, Washington.
Darlene graduated from Rathdrum High School with Honors, then attended Kinman's Business University. In 1950 she married James Briggs and settled in Olney, Montana where her children, Beth, Mike, and Roy were born.
In 1959, Darlene and the children moved to Petersburg, Alaska where worked as a bookkeeper, bank teller, and her favorite job as a radio dispatcher for Alaska Island Air. She moved to Anchorage where she met Gary Candee. They were married in 1978. They built a home in Wasilla, Alaska. They bought a home in Lake Havasu City in 2011 and spent their winters there before selling their home in Wasilla in 2019.
She leaves behind her husband Gary, daughter Beth Richards, and sons Mike and Roy Briggs, 11 grandchildren, and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
No services have been planned but as requested, her ashes will be in Alaska.
