Beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle died at age 62, after fighting cancers for 8 years. He passed into eternity on September 26, 2022.
Dennis is survived by his wife Tami, his children Dominic (Sarah, Anna Aurora), Max (Leslie), Tricia (Adante’, Tigress, Quasar), Nathanael (Joy, Theodor), his brother Mick (Merry) and sister Mindy (Bob). Dennis was preceded in death by his mother Garnette and brother Pat.
Dennis James Manning was born December 30, 1959, in Bremerton, Washington. He and his family moved to Fairbanks, Alaska a few years later. He grew up with a love of sports and a good head for games and numbers. After high school and some traveling, Dennis joined the IBEW. He met his wife to be in 1983 and they were married in 1985. Together they built a house and raised four children in Fairbanks, Alaska. His children recall him finishing their plates of food, helping those in need, and fixing cars and their home. Dennis and Tami were very involved in Light House Church and supported many missionaries and outreaches over the years. Dennis worked for GVEA as a meter tech for many years and finished his career as the lead dispatcher in their electrical grid control room in 2014. After retirement, Dennis and Tami wintered in Lake Havasu, Arizona and enjoyed RV living.
Dennis enjoyed many things. He loved fishing, hunting, football, baseball, playing games and eating delicious food. He could fix just about anything and find any information you needed. He was always ready with advice. Dennis could strike up a conversation with anyone. He was constantly searching for opportunities to help others. He loved learning about other people and telling others about Jesus. Dennis wants to see all of you at the party, in Heaven, at the end.
