Obituary of Tyler Michael Slaton
Please share a memory of Tyler to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
War Decorated Combat Infantry Army Specialist Tyler Michael Slaton went to be with the Lord
September 14, 2022 in Lake Havasu City, Arizona.
Tyler was born in Huntington Beach,
California to his parents John and Lisa on May 13, 1986.
He grew up with 3 brothers and a
large loving family. While a young boy, Tyler grew up in Moreno Valley and in the 5th grade
relocated to Huntington Beach. Tyler excelled in football and baseball and proudly wore the
traditional Slaton #6.
He graduated from Edison High School as an accomplished athlete.
In 2008 Tyler enlisted in the United States Army and completed his basic training at Fort
Benning, Georgia. Tyler received orders to report to the frontlines in Iraq and fight the war on
terrorism. While serving our country, Tyler earned war time medals and awards that he and his
family are very proud of.
Tyler finished his military career teaching young army servicemen the
skills and abilities he had acquired during war.
Tyler retired from the Army with a disability
pension in 2013 and settled down in Lake Havasu City, AZ.
Tyler loved 3 things.
His dogs, his family, and his country. Tyler worked hard in construction
trades and served his community.
When he needed a break, you could find Tyler and His
“boys” Stryker and Zeus down by the Colorado River cooling off in the Arizona sun.
As the
movie title reads “All dogs go to heaven”,
Stryker received orders a week ahead of Tyler to be
ready and welcome him to heaven. Zeus is now cared for by his Grandma Lisa.
Tyler leaves behind his good boy Zeus, his mother Lisa and Step-Father Leonard, his father
John, brothers Joshua, Jacob and Christian, grandparents John, Mary, and Barbara as well as
many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
God Bless America. Well done, good and faithful servant.
