Obituary of Michael Jeffrey Murphy

One last smile & shared cup of coffee, firm believer of Jesus Christ, Mike Murphy passed away suddenly of natural causes on the evening of Monday, August 29, 2022 in Lake Havasu City Hospital, Az. He was never alone, with heartfelt gratitude to the consist team effort of the dental office, ambulance crew, & the whole ER staff. Cindy stayed by his side the whole time, able to hold his hand to say good-bye, reminding him he was loved always. He is survived by his daughter & son, Carrie Moore & Jeff Barker. Grandchildren Kjia Moore, Jackson & Francis Barker. His wife of 35 years, Cindy Murphy. Six sisters & brothers. He is preceded in death by his parents: Robert & Evelyn Murphy and Amador & Nina Ybarra. Always quick & willing to help, he will miss his daily/weekly adventures/routines: Hamm Radio Club, Swap meet, 2nd Hand stores, and various places of businesses. Graduate of MSU & Northwoods University with Masters in Science & MBA; was a licensed pilot. Retired from General Motors after 30 years of service, Army Vet, Business owner, Charlotte HS Physics teacher. Resided in Jackson, Lansing area, Rochester Hills, MI; Buckeye & LHC, AZ; Frankfurt, Germany; and Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. In lieu of flowers: gifts can be made to Hamm Radio Club or to the grandchildren’s college fund, to be divided equally.
