Obituary of Dean Lee Tilton
Please share a memory of Dean to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Dean Lee Tilton, age 55, formerly of Macomb, Illinois, passed away at his home in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, on July 6th, 2022.
Dean was unique. A gentle and creative soul, he was a five-leaf clover in a four-leaf field. He had an uncanny ability to find that type of luck but never kept any for himself. He was generous, especially with his joy, always bringing a smile and laugh to share with others.
Dean's favorite hobbies were snorkeling, photography, kayaking, listening to music, and playing guitar for his friends and family. He had a talent for finding heart-shaped rocks and loved Havasu sunsets.
Among his many jobs, the most fondly remembered by his family were the times when he worked with them at The Office, the bar and restaurant owned by his parents in Basco, Illinois. He loved all his family and remained as close with them as he possibly could, even caring for his parents in their elderly years.
Dean is predeceased by his parents, Gary and Vivian Tilton. The youngest of five siblings, he is survived by his brothers Donnie Phelps and Gary Tilton; sisters Kathleen Snodgrass, Trina Munger, and Amber Tilton; his amazing sons Michael and Scot Tilton; his lovely grandchildren, Emarie, Brynlee, and Jameson; and his beloved extended family and friends.
A virtual memorial in honor of Dean will take place on Sunday, July 24th, at 10:00 am (PST). To obtain a link to the invitation, please call or text Amber Tilton at 541-799-0910. All are welcome to attend and share stories and fond memories of Dean.
As a token of his family's love, a memorial brick will be laid on the Havasu Memorial Walkway, which lines the bank of the Bridgewater Channel near the London Bridge in Lake Havasu. His family will scatter his ashes in the blue waters of the Colorado River, where his spirit will remain amid the grand desert sunsets.
