Virgil Pellegrino Virgil Pellegrino, 83, passed away peacefully at his home in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, on February 6, 2022. He was born in Calabria, Italy and immigrated to the United States at age 15. He is survived by his devoted loving wife, Sandy, of 62 years; his children, Joe Pellegrino, Dena McDaniels and Lisa (Brian) Guzel; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He will be deeply missed and forever in our hearts. Virgil was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Virginia Pellegrino; sister, Ada Nelson; and son, Tom Pellegrino. He proudly opened his own business in 1980, Virgil's Auto Body and Paint, in Newbury Park, California. He sponsored the local youth sporting organizations, supported the high school ROP internship, supported the DARE program, and contributed to many charities. He was a member of the Conejo Kennel Club and San Fernando Kennel Club. Virgil enjoyed showing dogs, raising canaries, working with horses, and traveling in his motorhome. A viewing will be held in Chapel of the Hill, located at Conejo Mountain Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 2052 Howard Road, Camarillo, California 93012 on Saturday, February 26, 2022, between 2:00 - 4:00 P.M. Arrangements were placed into the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.
