Jean K. Komac
6/4/1944 - 1/11/2022
Jean Karen Komac, 77 years, passed away peacefully in the comforts of her home on January 11th, 2022, after spending a warm winter day with her husband of 59 years in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. She was born on June 4, 1944, in Park Falls, Wisconsin. She is survived by her husband, Matthew J. Komac; her sons, Matthew F. Komac and Mark Komac; her sister, Marvel Simbach; her grandson, Matthew E. Komac, his wife, Ashley, and their two children, Addie and Matthew J. Komac; and her granddaughter, Alyssa Komac and fiance Sam Bennin.
Jean's glass was always half-full, and she made everyone around her happy. She was co-owner and administrator of both Independent Home Health and later Heritage Home Health in Montana. Jean and her husband snow-birded to Lake Havasu from Montana after retirement in 1995 and later became permanent residents when her health made it difficult to travel. Jean enjoyed playing bridge, having lunch with the Lake Havasu FAN (friends and neighbors) club, boating, fishing, camping, and spending time at home in Lake Havasu as well as with family at the cabin at American Bar in Montana.
There are no formal services planned as per her wishes. A celebration of life will be held with her family in Montana this summer. Her family wants to thank the LHFD 911 responders for their past help. Her family is also especially grateful to the local senior center's Meals on Wheels program.
Arrangements were placed in the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.
