Please share a memory of Robert to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Robert “Buck” Rogers passed away December 23, 2021 in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Zella and survived by his sister Judith, daughters Stacy and Robin, grandsons Bailey, Austin, Gavin, and his beloved Brenda. As one of the most sentimental humans to walk the earth, Robert fiercely and authentically loved nature, animals, and humans. Robert showed his love through action and in 20 years, he donated enough blood and platelets to the Children’s Hospital Colorado blood bank to improve the lives of up to 730 children. Robert brought the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) to Elizabeth through his volunteer work with the Elizabeth Stampede and dedicated over 35 years with the Adams County Sheriff’s Office. A Fort Morgan High School graduate, Robert spent his professional career working for the Denver Water Department. He retired after 37 years of service and was described by colleagues as a visionary. He made considerable recreational improvements on Denver Water reservoirs, helped with the Taylor Eco area development, and paved the way for youth to learn to fish through his work with the Waterton Canyon Lake Lehows resurrection. The Resting Ruckus – Celebration of Life will be July 2 at 11am at the Casey Jones Park Rodeo Grounds in Elizabeth Colorado. A procession from the rodeo grounds to the Elizabeth cemetery will immediately follow and all are welcomed. In lieu of flowers, please consider becoming part of Robert’s legacy by scheduling a blood donation with Children’s Hospital Colorado Blood Bank 720.777.5398. If blood donations aren’t an option for you, consider making a financial contribution to the Children's Colorado Foundation blood donor program at supportchildrenscolorado.org. Please reference code RGRS when donating. Happy Trails Dad - may the good Lord take a liking to you. Arrangements were placed into the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.
