Obituary of Gladys Schrage

GLADYS M. SCHRAGE Gladys M. Schrage, affectionately known as "Gladdys" at all those who knew and loved her, left her earthly home to reside in her eternal home with her Lord on September 19, 2012. Gladdy was born November 23, 1930 to her parents, Otto and Maude Clinton in Glendale, CA. On a blind date in September 1947 she met her husband to be J.A "Pete" Schrage, and was married on November 27, 1948, residing in Glendale, CA where she gave birth to a daughter and two sons. She and Pete relocated to Lake Havasu City, AZ in 1993. Gladdy leaves her true love, Pete and was predeceased by her daughter Susie Johannes and leaves her sons Jim (Patty) Schrage; Jeff (Candice) Schrage, both in Santa Clarita, CA and nine grandsons, one granddaughter and one great grandson. Gladdy loved to travel and while her health was not an issue, had enjoyed many cruises, to sun and water destinations, many trips to Hawaii where she loved to go Marlin fishing. Later in life she found the Casinos in Las Vegas and Laughlin very exciting. Fortunately, she was quite lucky. Although she suffered much pain, when she sat down at a slot machine, the pain magically disappeared. Her departure leaves a tremendous void in many lives. Services will be held in the Chapel at Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home at 11:00 A.M. Saturday morning October 6, 2012. A Celebration of Life will be held at the B.P.O.E Lodge 3532 McCulloch Blvd immediately following the service.
