Obituary of Cynthia Florence Di Battista
Please share a memory of Cynthia to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Cynthia Florence Di Battista, age 71, passed away peacefully at home on December 5, 2021, in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. She passed from a long battle she fought with brain and spine cancer. She was born November 5, 1950, in Bethel, Maine, to Rodney and Muriel Brooks.
Cynthia and Fernando were married in Alameda, California, in 1974. They were in the restaurant business together for many years, before moving to the wine country in St, Helena, California, where they lived for 10 years. They lived in Colorado briefly, before finally settling down in Lake Havasu City, Arizona.
Cynthia started a new position at Lake Havasu Unified School District #1 as an administrative assistant back in 2003, and retired from the school district on July 1, 2017. Cynthia was a great artist, and she loved to pencil sketch, make arts and crafts projects, and read in her spare time. She loved her husband and son very much, and she will be missed by all of her family and friends. She was a great conversationalist and a great listener. She was full of life and laughter, and could keep you engaged for several hours telling stories.
Fernando will be moving to Texas to live with his son, Cesare, daughter in-law, Amber, and his two grandsons, Antonio and Matteo.
Cynthia is survived by her husband, Fernando A. Di Battista, her son, Cesare F. (Amber D.) Di Battista, and her grandsons, Antonio C. and Matteo G. Di Battista.
Cynthia was preceded in death by her parents, Rodney and Muriel Brooks.
