Dearest Alice, Ann and Chase, I am so very sorry for your loss. Joe and I go way back - horses, hunting, camping, canoeing, shooting, and an occasional beer or two. Joe was my canoeing partner for years - which made it easy for me, because he was a paddling fool.....I didn't have to work very hard. Attached are some canoeing pics that you haven't seen. The pic with Joe running the spatula around the campfire appeared in NEBRASKAland magazine's October 1997 issue in the article "Voyaging the Missouri'. We would relentlessly tease Joe about that pic because he never cooked on the trip, he was merely posing for a picture, and it made the magazine.....I have many stories to share......I hope to see you all soon......"Is the coffee ready yet ?".......
