Shirley M. Cunningham, passed away at home in Kingman, AZ on Oct. 23, 2021. She was 92.
Shirley is survived by her sister Marie Sadjewicz, of Griffith, Indiana, five children, Mikki Sampson (John), Wendy Cunningham, Jean Dahl (Gary), David Cunningham (Cindy), all of Kingman and Thomas Cunningham, of Goodson, Missouri, eight grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Berniece Stearman, brother, James (Jimmy) Stearman, and husbands, Gene Cunningham and Ted Hildreth.
Shirley was born April 17, 1929, in Kankakee, Illinois, to James and Berniece Stearman. She married Gene Cunningham, December 1, 1947, where they built a home in Chicago Heights, Illinois. They later moved to Kingman July 1, 1964, where Gene started his construction company a year later. Shirley worked by his side for many years.
She enjoyed bowling, reading, water skiing, playing cards and spending time with family and friends who she loved with all her heart. She was so easy to love. She will be missed but never forgotten.
Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 12, 2021, at Mountain View Cemetery in Kingman, AZ, and then gather at Centennial Park directly after the service to visit with family and friends. In lieu of flowers, please a plant a memory tree at your desired location or donate a tree to Mountain View Cemetery.
