Obituary of Gerald Leroy Smock

Gerald Leroy Smock, age 82, passed away peacefully September 23rd, 2021. He was born September 19th, 1939, in Los Angeles, California, to Raymond and Alvina Smock. Gerald was a Private First Class in the Army. He earned his bachelor's degree. He worked as a police officer for thirty years and retired as a Sergeant. Gerald loved fishing and boating, but most of all, he loved his Jeep. He loved off-roading, and he knew the desert like the back of his hand. Gerald is survived by his wife, Linda Smock of Lake Havasu City, Arizona; sons, Steve Smock of La Merada, California, and Jason Smock of Buena Park, California; brother, Maurice Lee Smock of Portland, Oregon, and eight grandchildren. Gerald was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Alvina Smock; and his daughter, Mendy Vitolo. Arrangements were placed in the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home and Crematory.
