Obituary of Jill Ward

Jill McKendrick Ward, age 64, died peacefully at her home on September 9, 2021. She was born September 9, 1957 in Pomona, California to Bill and Joan McKendrick. She married her beloved husband, Kevin Gene Ward, on October 9, 1976 in Montclair, California. Jill loved to love people. She enjoyed camping and being with her family. Her grandchildren were her life. She also enjoyed the many trips she took to be with her long-time best friend, Darcy Coulter, to shop or just simply be next to each other. Many people stated “she brought happiness to all of us, even those that she wasn’t involved with day to day have the best memories and feelings about her.” She worked at the Federal Reserve Bank in Los Angeles prior to moving to Lake Havasu City, Arizona in 1989. In Havasu, she finished off her career at Desert Pest Control where she worked for 9 years. She enjoyed the relationships she gained from working with co-workers and customers. Jill is preceded in death by her parents Bill and Joan McKendrick and brother David McKendrick. She is survived by her husband Kevin Ward; her children Michael Ward, Jason (Brianna) Ward, and Kari (Chance) Crane; her grandchildren Taylor (Bud) Caporale, Tara Ward, Michael Ward, Brennan Ward, Travis Ward, Kandon Crane, Kash Crane, and Kole Crane; as well as many nieces and nephews. All of these she loved and touched deeply. Please join us in celebrating her life on Saturday, November 20, 2021 from 1-3PM at their home in Lake Havasu City.
