Kathrine Ann Barhydt at the age of 77 returned home to our Lord at 9:15am on August 30th with her eldest daughter by her side, after a determined battle with Metastatic Cancer. She was born on June 23, 1944 in Fort Sills, Oklahoma as the eldest daughter to Louis and Dorothy (Klass) Radicia. She attended Dumont High School and on August 29th, 1964 she was married at St. Mary’s Church in Dumont, New Jersey and moved to Hackensack than later to Teaneck, New Jersey. In 1988 she followed her dream and moved to Bullhead City, Arizona and finished out her last 5 years in beautiful Lake Havasu City, Arizona. Over the years, Kathrine worked as a Legal Secretary; Court Recorder; Casino Financial Accounting Administrator; and finally as a Mohave County Court Clerk until she retired at the age of 71. She was also involved in many Organizations as a volunteer including: Meals on Wheels, Bergen County Vo-Tech Snack Bar Coordinator, PTSO, the ambulance corps., several Bowling Leagues, Lake Havasu City Community Choir, Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and was very active with Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in the choir and as a Lector. She loved cooking, singing, swimming, movies, crocheting, board games, word puzzles, cruises, eating out and her favorite game of Mahjongg (she played with and taught several groups of ladies). She was a bit of a homebody and loved being in her jammies having a glass of wine watching cooking shows on tv, but being with Friends and Family was the most important thing to her. Katherine is survived by her children Susan Bielecki, Gary Barhydt and Sandra Wood; brother Louis Radicia; sisters Nancy Hessian and Donna West; Grandchildren Jessa, Steven, Adam, Marissa and Mandee. She was preceded in death by her parents Louis and Dorothy Radicia and sister Margery Radicia. She was a giving, positive upbeat person throughout her life and a great Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, and friend who will be greatly missed but remembered fondly.
