Obituary of Fran Bryson

Fran Bryson, passed away peacefully at home, August 14, 2021. She was born July 14, 1940. Fran was born in Murphy, NC. At the age of 18, Fran rode a greyhound bus (alone) from Murphy NC to Pasadena CA where her future husband, Zane, was waiting to marry her. They married at the Pasadena Courthouse on November 12, 1958, and settled in Santa Cruz, CA until moving to Lake Havasu City in 2002. Fran and Zane were married for 43 years. Fran was a lifelong homemaker and Mom. Fran was always heavily involved with her boys. She was a Den Mother in Cub Scouts, a Room Mother at school, and a member of the PTA. She volunteered for all field trips, dances, plays, and any other activities she could that involved her boys. Fran took great pride in her home and raising her family. Fran was an avid antique collector. She was on a bowling league and bowled the occasional 300 game. Fran would talk to anyone about anything for hours – she loved people and visiting. Fran is survived by her sons Rob (Velda) Bryson; and Doug (Vivian) Bryson; six grandchildren; Brian Bryson (AZ); Art Kroschel (CO); Summer Meyer (ND); Derrick Thye (AZ); Teressa Whorf (AZ); and Candice Lofton (NV); and 18 greatgrandchildren; Hope, Trey, Andrew, Alexis, Justin, Caleb, Carighan, Logan, Nicholas, Sebastian, Aiden. Alora, Caleb, Derrick Thomas, Joeseph, Christopher, Ashlynn and Michael. She was preceded in death by her husband, Zane Bryson; and her parents Griffie Malone and Geneva Alice Ledford.
