Obituary of Sally Rainey

On Thursday, August 19, 2021, Sally Rainey, passed away at age 71. Sally was born on October 26, 1949 at Mercy hospital in San Diego to Vern and Lois Hildebrand. She graduated from Grossmont High School in 1967. She continued her education at Grossmont college where she received her associates degree in nursing. She later became an LVN and worked for Kaiser Permanente over 28 years. She worked at UCSD Medical Center as an LVN for two years before retiring in 2010. Sally lived her life in East County San Diego, until moving to Lake Havasu, AZ with her husband in 2013. In 2005, Sally was happily married to Steven Rainey who was her partner in life for almost 16 years at the time of her death. Sally had a passion for cooking, reading, crafting, and decorating. She loved people and had endless friends. She was a member of the Jackalopes since 1991. Sally touched many lives with her infectious smile, her spirit, silly humor, and compassion for people. She loved everyone and brought so much joy to those she knew. Sally is preceded in death by her father, Vern and by her mother, Lois. She is survived by her husband Steven; her brothers Mark and Kent; her children Rick, Cassie, Kevin, Catrina, and Caterra; her grandchildren Alex, Savannah, Sydney, Jackson, Christopher, Cierra, Cyrsten, Alyssa, Tyler, Caleb, and Caden; and her great grandchildren Lola, Han, and Ailyn. At this time no public service will be held. A small family celebration will take place amongst loved ones.
