Obituary of Ruth Day Davidson
Please share a memory of Ruth to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
RUTH DAY DAVIDSON, 92, passed away June 18th in San Marcos, CA.
She was born in Glasgow, Scotland, raised her family in Orange County, California, and eventually retiring to Lake Havasu City in 1994.
She loved her community and her friends. Ruth was not only very proud of her Scottish heritage, but thanking God for giving her and her husband, George the opportunity to become U.S. citizens and call the United States of America home. Ruth loved so many things about life. She had faith in God, loved her family, her home, years of Scottish country dancing (RSCDS - Royal Scottish Country Dance Society), long walks (especially at the beach), bike riding, traveling, hearing a joke from George, conversing with people, knitting, cooking, and especially tea time. Tea time was plentiful and she enjoyed sharing with friends. She also enjoyed volunteering at Havasu Regional Medical Center, and playing Bunco.
Ruth is preceded in death by her husband of nearly 62 years, George Davidson, brothers John and Norman, and her parents.
Survivors include her 4 children: Beverly, Brenda, John, Susan and their spouses, 9 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held July 13th at 4:00 at the Lietz-Fraze chapel, with a graveside service July 14th at 8:00 a.m.
