Obituary of Laura Kay Tillett Fornshell

Laura Kay Tillett Fornshell, Born in Oceanside, California on February 25th, 1963 to parents Robert and Doris Tillett, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on May 23rd, 2021 at 58 years old. Though we feel grateful for all the time we had with her, and the eternal love we feel, she was called home to be with family and friends who had passed before her. Laura married Daniel Billingsley on September 3rd, 1982. Together they had three beautiful daughters Amanda, Casey and Danielle. These three girls are her whole world. She loved and cared for them with all her heart. Laura and Dan tragically lost their daughter Casey on May 24th, 1996, at the age of nine. This was a very difficult time for her and the rest of the family. Although Dan and Laura later divorced, they remained friends. In June 1997, Laura found the love of her life, her soulmate, Michael Fornshell. Mike came into her life when she needed him the most. They were inseparable from the day they met. He gave her great joy and happiness, and for this we are so grateful. Mike and Laura married on March 16th, 2002. This union also gave Laura two additional daughters to love and care for, Ashley and Alisha Fornshell. Laura worked for Wasatch Computer Technology. She loved her job and treasured the relationships she built here, with her colleagues and with those they did business with. After over 20 years in the office, Wasatch graciously allowed Laura to start working remotely so that she and Mike could move to Fort Mohave, Arizona after Mike’s retirement in 2017. Here they began many adventures together, playing hard and loving life. Bike rides, road trips in their RV, off-road jeeping, and River boating were some of their favorites. Laura loved to host gatherings, it brought her joy to cook for others and presentation was everything. Always saying “Presentation! Presentation! Presentation!” with a big smile on her face. Laura was proceeded in death by her daughter Casey Emma Billingsley, father Robert Tillett, Grandmother Delphia Tillett, Grandfather John (Verl) Bower, Grandmother Evelyn Bower, best friend Gayle Seelos, niece Amber Orencole, and nephew Micheal Stark. She is survived by her loving husband Michael Fornshell, daughters Amanda Billingsley, Danielle (James) Gordon, Ashley Fornshell and Alisha Fornshell. Grandsons Jahmaine, Sebastian, and John. Granddaughters Tianna and Aurora. Her mother Doris Tillett, brother David Tillett, sisters Kathyrn (Brian) Hemminger and Karen (Rory) Andus. Along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Private graveside service will be held at Wasatch Lawn Memorial in Millcreek, UT. A Celebration of life will be held on June 19th, Valley Bowling Lanes 3951 W 5400 S West Valley City, UT 84120 from 2pm-6pm.
