Obituary of James Ervin Stegner

James Ervin Stegner (Jim), 81, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 23, 2021 at his home in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. Jim was born in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin to Ervin and Ethel Stegner. He was the beloved husband of Marlene E. Stegner, with whom he shared almost 59 years of marriage, loving father of son Dan and wife Tracey Stegner of Annandale, Virginia, son Steve and wife Joyce Stegner of Fox Lake, Wisconsin and son Bill and wife Kelly Stegner of Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin and proud grandfather of five grandchildren, Kyle, Kelly, Owen, Cassie and Jayde Stegner. Jim and Marlene moved to Germantown, Wisconsin in 1966 where they raised their three boys. They moved to Lake Havasu City, Arizona in 2005 to enjoy their golden retirement years and made many great friends. Jim served in the US Navy, receiving an honorable discharge after completing three years active duty service and three years in the reserves. After serving his country, Jim worked as a skilled carpenter. He loved classic cars, street rods, racing and shooting guns at the range. In lieu of flowers, the family requests you donate to your favorite charity in Jim’s name. Jim’s Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
