John E. Herbstritt, 84, Lake Havasu City, formerly of Erie, Pennsylvania, passed away on April 5, 2021 at his home. John was born to Cletus and Mary Herbstritt on September 17, 1936 in Erie, Pennsylvania and attended school there. He served eight years in the United States Air Force and served two years in the United States Navy. He then went to work at the Long Beach Naval Shipyard in 1965 as an Electrician. He retired in 1994 as a Management Analyst GS-13. He married Mary Burley in 1976 and she had three children by her first husband, Lester Burley. John belonged to the Elks Lodge and the Moose lodge. He loved to play cards. Survivors include his three step-sons; Richard Burley and wife Jackie, Dennis Burley and wife Louise, and Christopher Herbstritt, sister; Bette Hicks, brother; David, eleven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his parents; Cletus and Mary Herbstritt and his two grandsons; Derrick Burley and Jonathan Burley. Services were entrusted to the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.
