Obituary of Paul David Hamilton

After a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease, Paul David Hamilton passed away at his home in Lake Havasu City on February 27, 2021. He was 73 years old. Paul was born on May 9, 1947, in Delaware, to Warren and Violet Hamilton. Shortly after his birth, Paul, his sister Dianne, and his parents relocated to Upland, California. After graduating high school and attending the University of Southern California, Paul began his career with Vons supermarkets, eventually promoting to a managerial position. Paul worked in various Vons locations throughout southern California, leaving a positive legacy at each. Paul was married to his first wife, Susie Rohus, with whom he had three children; John, Jeffery, and Jennifer. Paul later married his second wife, Cassandra Purdy, and had a fourth child; Christopher. Paul was a dedicated father, taking his children camping and on outdoor adventures all over the country. Paul met his current life partner, Peggy Ryerson, while living on a yacht in Newport Beach, California. Paul and Peggy continued their adventures together for over 20 years, moving to Lake Havasu City, where Paul lived out his final years. During that time, Paul and Peggy were involved serving the local community as members of the Relics and Rods car club. They also continued their love for travel, taking numerous travel trailer trips cross America and vacationing in Hawaii, Alaska, and Europe. Paul is preceded in death by both his parents; Warren and Violet Hamilton. He is survived by his devoted life partner; Peggy Ryerson, sister; Dianne Melone, sons; John Hamilton, Jeffery Hamilton, and Christopher Hamilton, daughter; Jennifer Grabow, grandchildren; Andrew Rainer, Faith Kontra, Lauren Clark, Nathaniel Hamilton, Natalie Hamilton, and Weston Hamilton; and great-grandson; Castille Rainer. A Celebration of Life will be held at Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home on Saturday, March 27, 2021 at 3:00 pm. Services were entrusted to the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.
