Obituary of Cary Kevin Craig

Cary Kevin Craig, 65, of Lake Havasu City, passed away on March 2, 2021. He was a four time cancer survivor. He was surrounded by family in his son’s home under hospice care. The mother of his son, Terry, preceded him in death. Cary was born on January 28, 1956 to Chuck and Eileen Craig in San Gabriel, California. The family moved from South Pasadena, California, to San Clemente, California in 1960. It was there that Cary found his passion for surfing. His love of the water continued throughout his life and he fulfilled his dream of living on a houseboat on Lake Havasu for the past several years. He also loved riding his motorcycle and had many adventures on various bikes over the years. Cary served in the U.S. Navy and returned to San Clemente after discharge. He took up the trade of doing custom tile work, as well as painting and drywall. Cary and his son, Clifford, moved to Boistfort, Washington in 1991. He loved the rural community where he could continue his trade and enjoy riding horses and motorcycles. He is survived by his son, Clifford Craig (and Tamara) of Lake Havasu City, Arizona and three grandsons; his sisters Charleen Rowlan of Spring Hill, Florida, Carol Hamilton (Mike) of Chehalis, Washington, and Christine (Adam) Ross of Fresno, California. He loved spending time with son, grandsons, nieces and nephews and introducing them to what he enjoyed in life. He will also be missed by his life partner Shelly Guerinflowp. Following cremation, there will be a private celebration of life. Services were entrusted to the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.
