Maryann Fazakerly – passed away December 17, approximately 5:00pm peacefully at Havasu Regional Medical Center due to complications of Covid-19, surrounded by her family.
Maryann was born, at home, on April 8, 1936 in Irwindale, CA, and died December 17, 2020 at the age of 84. She was the daughter of Alex Ornelas and Lupe (Rodriguez).
Maryann graduated from Covina High School in 1954. She worked as an Office Clerk for United Parcel Service for 28 year. She married Manuel Bernal, at St. John’s Church, Baldwin Park, California on May 11, 1956 and divorced. She was married 18 years. She then married Stanley M. Fazakerley, at the Silver Queen Saloon, Virginia City, Nevada and were married 42 years.
Maryann’s hometown was Irwindale, CA. She lived with her first husband and children in North Hollywood, Ca, her second husband in Granada Hills, CA and then retired to Lake Havasu City, AZ.
She is survived by her husband, Stanley M. Fazakerley, daughter; Maureen Bernal and son; Eric Bernal.
Maryann is preceeded in death by daughter; Rose Ann Bernal.
Maryann was a Lions Club Member and frequented the Elks Club along with her husband, member, Stan Fazakerley. Maryann was also a member of the Sister City of Havasu and attended several trips down to Mexico and helped translate.
Maryann likes Antiques. Oak furniture, antique glass, linens and decorated her house with Antiques. She like Arts and Craft Shows, Swap Meets, Reading Angel books, heaven, mystery and the daily newspaper. She loved dogs especially hers, Mickey and Patch. Maryann traveled across the United States several times, Nova Scotia Canada, Alberta Canada, Mexico, Tahiti and loved the California beaches in Rincon Ventura, CA. Big Sur was a special place to her. She also loved a good glass of Chardonnay.
Maryann is known for her sense of humor, strong will and caring heart and being a loyal friend.
A Celebration of Life is to take place at a later date in April 2021, health codes permitting.
