Obituary of Cheryl Ann Brewer
Please share a memory of Cheryl to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Cheryl Ann Brewer formally known as Cheryl Ann Denison-Grenke of Lake Havasu City, AZ was called home to our Lord on Sunday, February 7, 2021 after a hard fought battle with Covid.
She was born July 23, 1954 to the late Earl and Clarice Hunter of Palmdale, CA. She was a graduate of Palmdale High School, class of 1972. She and her late husband Ervin “Skiets” Grenke raised their children in the Antelope Valley. They eventually settled in their dream log cabin in the mountains of Virginia City, NV until Skiets passed away in 2016. Cheryl had a love for crafting, sewing and quilting. In recent years she enjoyed selling her amazing quilts at local craft shows. This is where she met her current husband Earl in Nevada. They married in November 2018.
Cheryl had a love of collecting “antiques” (they may be worth something someday) and crafting. She left behind a hell of a lot of “stuff” to her daughter and son who have no idea what to do with it. Because if one is good than five is better!
She leaves behind a family that she was extremely proud of and she loved them with all of her heart.
Cheryl was a fearless fighter and a Mom who would sacrifice anything to protect her children. She would often say being a Mom was great but being a Grandma was even better! She was the best Grandma to her Grandkids and she never missed a milestone with them.
She was a beloved wife of 2 years to Earl Brewer. Much loved Mom of Tammy (Michael) France of Prosper, TX and Tom (Melody) Denison of Lake Havasu City, AZ. Cherished Grandmother of Shelby (Josh) Brown of McKinney, TX; Justin (Ashley) France of Anna, TX and Kailey Denison of Lake Havasu City, AZ.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Clarice Hunter; Husband, Ervin “Skiets” Grenke; Sister, Marilyn Goff; Her Twin Brother, Daryl Hunter and Great-Granddaughter, Madison Brooke France.
She will be sorely missed and will forever be in our hearts.
Until we meet again, We Love You More!
Memorial Services will be held Friday March 26, 2021 at 1:00pm with Internment to follow at the Masonic Memorial Gardens in Reno, Nevada.
Her family would like to share the following with all who shared in Cheryl’s life:
Crossing Over
Oh, please don't feel guilty
It was just my time to go.
I see you are still feeling sad,
And the tears just seem to flow.
We all come to earth for our lifetime,
And for some it's not many years
I don't want you to keep crying
You are shedding so many tears.
I haven't really left you
Even though it may seem so.
I have just gone to my heavenly home,
And I'm closer to you than you know.
Just believe that when you say
my name, I'm standing next to you,
I know you long to see me,
But there's nothing I can do.
But I'll still send you messages
And hope you understand,
That when your time comes to
across over, I'll be there
to take your hand.
