Ivadene Schwab, 81, passed away on December 26, 2020 at her home in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. A strong Christian, she is now at home in Heaven with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She is survived by her husband Roger Schwab; son Marcus Schwab; sister Twila Hartwell of Salem, Oregon; brother Thomas McChesney of Portland, Oregon, and brother Doug Quintall of Salem, Oregon. Ivadene was born in Johnstown, CO on December 9, 1939 and moved as a young child to Silverton, Oregon where she would eventually graduate from high school in 1958 in the same class as her future husband, Roger Schwab. She worked her way through college, attending the University of Oregon and Northwest Christian College where she graduated with a degree in Religious Education in 1963. She taught for a short time and also had her Ministerial License. She signed on with the U.S. Air Force as an Officer Trainee to become a counselor but was given an honorable discharge due to a medical condition. While living in Astoria, Oregon, she and husband Roger welcomed a son, Marcus. After a few years in Cascade Locks, Oregon, the young family moved back to Silverton where Marcus went on to graduate from the same high school. Over the years in Silverton, she was a homemaker, artist, and worked in a frame shop. She also took care of her Grandmother for many years until her passing. The family moved to Naples, Florida in 1993, and then moved to Lake Havasu City in 2004. She was a talented artist who enjoyed many painting mediums, working with kiln-fired ceramics and porcelain figurines, and sculpting with clay and has left a home full of her beautiful creations. She had a business to sell her creations locally and through the mail and was also contracted to paint furniture and other projects for clients. She had a very caring and giving spirit and was very involved with church projects and various charities, especially those through the various churches that she attended through her life. Her favorite thing to do was to make stuffed animals to be sent to various orphanages in many impoverished areas around the globe, with these numbering over a thousand spanning several decades. In her memory, donations can be made to: Joyce Meyer Ministries joycemeyer.org Arrangements were placed in the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home and Crematory and Memorials may be sent to the funeral home.
