ROGER DONOVAN DUBEROWSKI
November 20, 1934 ~ December 19, 2020
On December 19th, 2020, Roger was called Home to spend Christmas with his Lord and Savior.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00am Monday, December 28th, 2020 at Our Saviour Lutheran Church In Lake Havasu City, Arizona. Visitation 9:00am – 10:00am at the church.
Roger was the first born child of Paul and Frances Duberowski on November 20, 1934 in Miltona, Minnesota. He grew up on a farm and went to a one room school house. At a young age he helped provide for his family by hunting before school and cutting wood for his family. He also sold wood to others for additional income. Roger left home and headed west, working for farmers across North Dakota and into Montana where he met young Mary Ann. He then moved on to Washington where he worked in an apple orchard, then on to California where he was hired at McDonnell Douglas in Long Beach, California. Three years later he returned to Montana to marry the girl he couldn’t forget. They were married on September 17th, 1956 in Great Falls, Montana. They returned to California and started their family of 3 children, June, David and Joyce. Roger continued his employment in the aircraft industry and retired as a FAA Inspector after 37 years. After retirement, they moved to Lake Havasu, Arizona where they became active members of Our Saviour Lutheran Church. Roger enjoyed fishing, hunting, reading “Junk Mail”, spending time with his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and dancing with his wife of 64 years.
He is preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers.
He is survived by his wife Mary (Keeler), 3 children, June (Jerry) Dykstra of Mission Hill, SD, David (Carol) Duberowski of Long Beach, CA and Joyce (Kenny ) Lauer of Parkers Prairie, MN. Brother, Kenneth and sisters, Julane & Janet. 6 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
