Jean was born to Clarence & Florence Skidmore on July 25th, 1939 in Norwich, Ks. She passed away at Kingman Regional Medical Center on July 25th, 2020, Kingman Az. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Glen Tracy Jr, her sister Hallie Skidmore-Perry and an infant brother. Jean is survived by her 3 children: Glen J. Tracy of Mesa Verde, CO; Judith A. Tracy of Golden Valley, AZ; Jerold S. Tracy of Golden Valley, AZ 3 grandchildren, Erienne S. Dickinson Clarissa R.H. Taton Nathan S. Tracy And 9 great-grandchildren, Kanden, Stellar & Nexy Young Lila & Kona Jones Roxtyn Meyers Hayden & Araliye Baumgarner Gentry Taton Jean lived a very full and happy 81 years. She met Glen Tracy Jr in Fort Leonard Wood Missouri and they married on June 19th, 1959. They lived in southern California for a number years before settling in Wellington Kansas. Jean & her husband owned and operated several businesses; including Uncle Joe’s Antiques & Collectibles, Tracy Trucking, Sunflower Motel and T&T Construction, before they retired in Golden Valley Arizona. Jean was a loving and devoted wife, mother & grandmother. In addition to raising her children, Jean & Glen opened their home to special needs foster-children. She loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren. Jean’s grandchildren loved her! Several times in recent years her grandchildren would drive, or even fly, from Kansas to surprise Jean with a visit. No phone call or text saying they were coming… just “surprise, we are here!” That always made Jean smile brightly and she would herd them into the kitchen to spoil them with home cooked meals! Jean also loved gardening and talking on the phone with her many friends. In addition to her love for family, Jean had a great love for Jehovah God. In early 1970, Jean started studying the Bible with Jehovah’s Witnesses while living in the Santa Clarita/Newhall area of California, and was baptized on January 16th, 1971. Jean loved teaching her young children, and her husband, about Jehovah God and Jesus Christ. She spent almost 50 years sharing her faith with others. In recent years she enjoyed telephone witnessing, letter writing and public cart witnessing. Jean loved being at the Kingdom Hall and strengthening her love and faith. In fact, she would get ready for the meetings an hour or 2 before time to go. Always prepared! Jean’s faith in Jehovah God, her family and her service to others filled her days with joy and happiness! Many of her family and friends in the congregation were recipients of her loving kindness. She will be greatly missed by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her friends in the congregation! Jean's favorite scripture reminded her of Jehovah God's promise, to faithful mankind, of living life in a paradise on earth. Revelations 21:4 "And He will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away". Jean's love for her heavenly Father, Jehovah God, was always first in her life. Arrangements were placed in the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home and Crematory.
