The Ebb and Flow of life Thru the ebb and flow of life I’m so glad you are my wife I knew when I met you I’d love you thru and thru And thru the love and the strife I’m so glad you are my wife I’ll never forget the starry night I saw this girl, she was a bright light As we danced away the evening I never ever thought of ever leaving Because thru the love and the strife I knew You would become my wife We would ride around in the bumblebee Always dreaming of what we would be Our love would grow even more deep It would be one to really really keep Because thru the love and the strife We would become husband and wife We made plans for a wedding day We got married with no delay Your dad would shine his tooth and say Love my daughter and love her your way because thru the love and the strife She will always be your loving wife We had these two wonderful boys They were so full of joy and love of toys They would grow to be such fine men But, guess we knew it even then because thru the love and the strife They would grow to be like my wife We would live a life of zest and fun On Shangri-La and playing in the sun We knew that the sun would never set You were the prettiest girl i’d ever met And thru the love and the strife You would always be my wife As we reached our retirement years We left our home with lots of tears But we found a new home out in the sun Where we could live and have lots of fun because thru the love and the strife We would always be husband and wife Like the ebb and flow of the tide We were always at each others side I have loved you every since we met I guess we were the perfect set Because thru the love and strife I always loved my wife As I aged and my health went a bit You were there and helped me thru it As I enter my waning years please do not shed any tears because thru the love and the strife You were always my loving wife thru the ebb and floe of life You were meant to be my wife GR Nissen
