Please share a memory of Karen to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Karen Lee Cunningham passed on to her eternal home in heaven on June 06, 2020 at the age of 76. Karen was born on April 21, 1944 to Walter and Georgette Stumpf. She proudly worked in a variety of customer-service related positions throughout her life to support herself and her family. Upon retirement, she and her life-partner of over 25 years, Jim Worden, moved to Meadview, Arizona and made it their home. Karen was a member of the Meadview Community Church where she served on the board in a variety of positions and also sang in the choir. She was a member of The Red Hat ‘s and the Meadview Quail Club. Known as the Energizer Bunny, the word “No” was not in her vocabulary and she enjoyed volunteering her time in whatever community service or church project needed her efforts. Karen had a kind heart and would do anything for anyone. She could always be counted on to lend a hand or give a ride to any of her extended network of friends, and loved being able to do so. She leaves behind many friends who will miss her dearly. She enjoyed playing cards, gardening, reading, spending time with family, and was devoted to her puppy dogs. Karen’s greatest joy was her grandchildren and she cherished anything related to them. Karen is survived by; her brother, Kenneth Stumpf and sisters, Barbra Stewart and Beverly Fromm; her loving partner, Jim Worden; her children; James Cunningham, Richard Cunningham, Linda Ward, Kimberly Lannigan, Jimmy Worden Jr. and Jack Worden, grandchildren; Brittany Ward, Connor Ward, Cameron Cunningham, Jim Von Normann, Stephanie Von Normann, Kyle Cunningham, Melissa Lannigan, Elaina Worden and Jenna Worden; great-grandchildren Faith, Justice, Maisie and Kendra. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Georgette Stumpf, and her sister, Lynn Fairchild. Arrangements were placed in the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home and Crematory.
