Obituary of Margareta Riess

Margareta Riess August 20, 1933 – May 26, 2020 Margareta Riess, 86, passed away at her home in Lake Havasu City, Arizona on May 26, 2020. She was born August 20, 1933 in Worms, Germany to Peter and Katharina Löewer. Here she met Reinhardt, an American Soldier who asked for her hand in marriage. She then moved to the United States in 1950 to start a new chapter. She worked beside her husband at Stimpson Manufacturing for 40 years as an assembly worker. Margareta and her husband Reinhardt were married in Queens, New York in 1955. They had a son. Charlie. Together they lived in Massapequa, New York and Fort Lauderdale, Florida before retiring to their home in Lake Havasu City, Arizona 19 years ago. Margareta enjoyed the outdoors, traveling, collecting bells and stuffed animals, spending time with her family and walking her dogs. She was preceded in death by her husband; Reinhardt Riess, her parents; Peter and Katharina Löewer, her siblings; Anna Huertlen, Adelheid Löewer, Peter Löewer, Heinrich Löewer and Rolf Löewer. Margareta is survived by her son Charlie Riess, her sisters; Adelheid, Susanna Klose, and Doris Harden, her grandson; Travis Riess and her great-grandchild; Pyper Riess-Radly.
