Dora Mae Long returned to her heavenly home January 20th 2020. Dora Mae was born March 7th 1933 in Tuttle, ND, to the late Tom and Hazel Thompson.
She worked in a nursing home then became employed by St. Alexis Hospital in Bismarck, ND, where she worked for 10 years. She worked in a surgical recovery room. In 1970, she married Kenneth R. Long and they made their home in Fargo, ND. Dora Mae worked at Blue Cross Blue Shield of ND for 10 years and then took an early retirement. When her husband retired in 2001 they built a home in Kingman, AZ, and made it their final home.
She is survived by 4 daughters, Cynthia Sveum (Monty), Kingman, AZ; Teresa Sturn (Wayne), Kingman, AZ; Sheila Paulson, Fargo, ND; Shelley Yantzer (Mark), Mandan, ND; seven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; one brother in law, Richard Long and one sister in law Sarah Long, Kansas City, MO.
Preceding her in death are her parents, Tom and Hazel Thompson; husband Kenny and one son Terry Biech; sister Nettie Michelsen and three brothers Marlin, Helmer (Buddy) and Leonard Thompson; one brother in law and 2 sister in laws.
Arrangements were placed in the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home and Crematory.
