Obituary of Marie T. Brettmann-Farland
Marie T. Brettmann-Farland
May 13, 1928 - November 29, 2019
It brings me joy to announce that the Lord has taken me to become one of his angels in Heaven. The Happiness and Love I shared on Earth is never ending in my soul, even as I sit with the Lord. My love was so great for others, that it will continue to keep my loved ones full as they live on.
I was born in Chicago where I was raised and then moved to Havasu in 1970 and had my own business, Havasu Insulation, until I retired.
In my life, I enjoyed being involved in many organizations such as the Moose, the Catholic Daughters of The Americas, the Telephone Pioneers, the Havasu Pioneers, the HRMC Auxiliary, and Our Lady of The Lake Church. I’ve been told that my commitment to these groups was beneficial to them, but I was just trying to give back to the community that gave so much to me.
Now for all the ladies and gents of my “Three B’s” (Bingo, Bowling, and Bunco) I will save a seat for you. YES, we have it all in Heaven!
My heart is heavy for those that I am leaving behind. My sister, Bettie Bodinet, my children, Linda (Fred) Ladner, Diane (Jerry) Koller, Bonnie (Mike Lawler) Bartolo, Timothy (Claudia) Ryan, Carol (Pat) Henry and Tom (Michelle) Brettmann. My grandchildren, Mike (Colleen) Lewter, Melissa Meiner, Julie (Mike) Carlson, Nathan and Nick Ryan, Eric Bartolo, Lauren (Ben) Classen, and Shawn, Travis and Ryan Henry. My great grandchildren, Jacob and Samantha Lewter, Adam and Dean Carlson, and June Classen.
I took the hands of these loved ones who accompanied me in my walk to see the Lord: my brother, Ray Schmitz, my son, John Ryan, my beloved husband, Al Farland, and my parents, Walter and Frieda Schmitz.
Do not mourn for me for I lived a complete, amazingly fulfilled life of love, exactly the way that I wanted. I am at peace and will see all of you again!
A Mass is being held at Our Lady of The Lake Church on Friday, December 13th at 1:00pm. Immediately following, a “Celebration of Life” will be held in the Holy Family Parish Hall behind the church.
In lieu of flowers please make memorial donations in my name to Hospice of Havasu because they took such amazing care of me in my final days.
Services were entrusted to the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home. Thoughts and condolences can be sent to my family at www.lietz-frazefuneralhome.com.
