Merry Esther Johnsen passed away November 27th at the home of her sister and brother-in law in Lake Havasu City.
Merry was born in Miami Florida to Robert and Esther Cleveland.
Merry lived mostly in Hawaii and California before moving to Lake Havasu in 1989. One of her "loves" was dance roller skating competition in California and received her Gold Medal along with other medals and trophies. Her other "love" was doing taxes and taking care of her clients books. Merry took great pride in her work and truly cared about her accounting and tax clients. She was most proud of passing the RTRP test and receiving her tax preparer ID from the IRS.
Merry is survived by her daughter Teri Minster of Normal, Ill, her son Doug Johnsen of Lake Havasu City, her sister Marlene Martinez of Lake Havasu City, Brother-in law Alex Martinez, Son-in law Eric Minster, Daughter-in law Nancy Johnsen, four grandsons, Mac, Michael, Camden and Christopher. Also her Aunt Margaret, cousins Sue, Ed, Maryann, Joe, Steve and Mike.
She is preceded in death by her parents, grandmother, grandfather, uncles and aunts and the love of her life, her husband Douglas Johnsen and her beloved pet "Bandit"
She will be sorely missed by so many people here in Lake Havasu, California and Hawaii. Her smile and kindness touched everyone. This world has lost a beautiful person and heaven has gained a new Angel.
A Celebration of her life will be held at her sister and brother-in laws home at 875 Paso Drive in Lake Havasu on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at 1pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to New Hope Hospice. The family would like to thank Keri, Lisa, Myrta and all the girls who took such good care of her from New Hope.
