Obituary of Kenneth Jay Applegate
We are filled with sadness and grief – Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at 1:11pm, Ken Applegate passed away. He was the best father, brother, Grandpa, Uncle and friend.
Ken passed peacefully at Havasu Regional Medical Center - he was on the phone listening to his daughter Andi telling him how much we loved and cared for him, that we will all be OK, and that it's OK to let go...and he did. He died of complications of the lung - it was hard for him to breath. After his doctor visit to Tucson last month, he kept having one health issue after the other, and just didn't improve.
He was a man of many talents – he was successful due to his personality and his drive to never quit. He never tried to be anything but himself. He enjoyed laughing and boating with friends, dancing, sports, eating ice cream, playing cribbage, and women (maybe not in that order).
He loved his family and friends especially his daughter, Andi Applegate and his son, Kirk Stevens.
He is survived by his sister, Bonnie Harper; grandchildren, Addisyn and Aidan Applegate; grandchildren, Kaylor Hogue and Cameron Stevens and his niece and nephew Kayla and Rylan Harper.
He will be spending eternity on the river - where he was happiest. Ken, may you rest easy now.
