Jake

3/6/2018 – 9/21/19

Jake was a Tea Cup Long Haired Blue Merle Chihuahua.  Quite rare and oh so beautiful, everyone would comment on what a handsome boy he was.  He was a little bit country coming to Havasu from Missouri.

His first days were spent with his buddy, Jim, on his ranch.  No small feat, being he was only 2 lbs., but he stood proud and brave playing with the big dogs and horses.  Jake was very adventurous and enjoyed every moment, except traveling in the car.  “Let’s go in the car, we’re goin’ to work” were not his favorite words and he would put his little body in reverse and back all the way to his safe place under the bed.  This didn’t get him out of his duties very often.

Jake spent his days greeting visitors of Jasmine Place Assisted Living and entertaining the residents as he scattered his toys about the community.   He was truly unique and full of spirit.

Jake was such a smart boy and knew his boundaries well.  He would sit outside the dining room, knowing he wasn’t allowed to dine or beg there.  He brought so many smiles and laughs to his friends and admirers.  Such a lucky pup, as everyone provided lots of treats and gifts.   You could often find Jake napping on his momma’s desk.

At just 3.5 lbs., Jake recently “managed” to father four puppies with his partner Sandy.  He would tell you that this was his greatest accomplishment and how much he loved his pups.  He was a proud Papa, teaching them the fine art of using the doggy door and digging in the sandbox to bury the smallest toys.

Jake will be deeply missed by his family, friends and the residents of Jasmine Place.   His little life here was just too short.  Rest easy Lil Man.  “You were the Best Pup Ever”! (In Momma’s puppy voice).
