Obituary of Dorothy Williams

DOROTHY JEAN WILLIAMS Dorothy Jean Williams passed away on December 3, 2012 in Lake Havasu City, AZ at the age of 86. Dorothy was born on October 10, 1926 in Brooklyn, NY to James and Grace Jean Baxter. Dorothy moved from New York to California in 1966 and was employed with Hughes Tool Company until she retired in 1990 then moved to Lake Havasu City where her grandson worked in the Fire Department. She and her husband, Daniel have lived out there retirement since. Dorothy enjoyed reading, crocheting, puzzles as well as watching her great grandkids when young. She and Dan loved to visit Shugrues every Thursday at 3:00 PM for the last 23 years. Dorothy donated her body to science to help the medical world. This was her way to give it back and pay it forward. Dorothy is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Daniel J. Williams of Lake Havasu City, AZ; son Bruce Williams of Lake Havasu City, AZ; daughter Barbara J. Lopez of Walnut, CA; sisters Audrey Bozza of Staten Island, NY and Pricilla Dewitt of New York; 6 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Services will be held at Lietz-Fraze Chapel February 17, 2013 at 1:00 PM with a reception following the service at Shugrues.
