Obituary of John Henry Plum
John Henry Plum, 71, of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, went to be with his heavenly father on Thursday, May 30, 2019.
John was born September 28, 1947, in Des Moines, IA, to Ray, Sr. and Dorothy Plum. John was the third oldest of five children. His family moved from Iowa to Indiana, and then to Bozeman, MT in 1962. John graduated from Bozeman High School in 1967 and later worked for United Parcel Service as a driver for many years. He really enjoyed delivering packages and visiting with his customers daily. John was a hard-worker and always ensured his family was taken care of. In his off-time, John enjoyed spending time with his family going fishing, driving through the Gallatin Canyon, and searching for and cutting down that perfect Christmas tree. John married Patricia in 1985, and they later moved to Idaho and Nevada, before settling in Lake Havasu City. John leaves to cherish his loving memory, Patricia Plum, his wife of 34 years, two children, Buffy (Mark) Ekola of Helena, MT, and Jeff (Polly) Plum of Fayetteville, GA; two step-children, Treva (Jay) Juhnke of Livingston, MT, and Justin (Erin) Chapel of Reno, NV; brothers Ray, Jr. of Mesquite, NV; Charles (Carol) of Billings, MT; sisters Sandy Spicer of Lowell, IN, and Linda (Larry) Bonsell of Billings, MT; and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Brother-In-Law Jim Spicer and Sister-In-Law Tesse Plum.
John loved to make everyone laugh and was quick with a joke or funny story. He enjoyed working with his hands, woodworking, fishing, and spending time with his wife. He and Pat would start the day with an early morning a cup of coffee together outside with their dogs. Cremation has taken place. A small family memorial service will be held in Montana in the early fall.
Services were entrusted to the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home. Thoughts and condolences can be sent to the family at www.lietz-frazefuneralhome.com. To send a free card go to www.sendoutcards.com/lietzfraze.
