Obituary of Ruth Elinor Breckheimer
Ruth Elinor Breckheimer passed away Friday, January 25, 2019 just 8 days before her 98th birthday. She was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota on February 3, 1921 to Andrew and Alma (Engelbrekt) Erickson.
Ruth lived in Excelsior, Minnesota for over sixty years where she raised her family. She and husband, John, were married 55 years before his passing. Ruth moved to Lake Havasu City, Arizona in 2017 to be with her daughters.
Ruth was famously known for her constant smile and appreciation for everyone and everything in her life. She was most proud of her Swedish heritage. She enjoyed interior decorating, roller skating and traveling and loved horses and dogs.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, John Breckheimer; parents, Andrew and Alma Erickson; sons, Dexter Breckheimer and Drake Breckheimer; brother, Bertil Erickson and sister, Elvina Skogsberg.
Ruth is survived by son, Drew (Sue) Breckheimer of Venice, Florida; daughters, Dana Breckheimer and Dawn Horsager, both of Lake Havasu City, Arizona; and her loving sons-in-law, Robert Breckheimer and John Horsager both of Lake Havasu City, Arizona. She is also survived by five grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A memorial will take place In Minnesota at a later date.
