Uncle Tom I have through the years thought of you on a regular basis ..loving you,missing you. I have such wonderful memories when I was a child coming to visit in Fairfax and Annandale loving all of my cousins and my aunt Ann. I will treasure those forever. You were there for me when your brother my dad passed away I leaned on you and you were there. I will continue to keep you close to my heart. I send my love my thoughts to each of my cousins Tommy Junior, Mike and Peggy, Chuck, Don, Joey and Brad.

Oh Tom, you will forever have a place in my heart, your smile filled a room. My favorite memory of you would be during our summer Olympics celebration I believe it was and you joined the crowd with a pom pom in hand cheering as caregivers raced through the hallways. Dad,
I want to thank you for being my Best Friend. From my childhood and throughout my adult life, you were always there for me. I will forever cherish the wonderful memories we shared; the Great REDSKINS games at RFK, our bike rides and walks around Centennial Park, the many vacations we shared together, the Thanksgiving Dinners (when you brought the most amazing gourmet pies, just to name a few!) Mandy and I will be riding our bikes and doing laps around our lake in your honor. And most of all, thank you Dad for being a wonderful Father. I will think of you and our fond memories every day. I feel grateful that I got to grow up in VA not too far from Papaw’s home in Columbia, and for all the memories I have of being gathered there with him and the rest of the family. I remember how magical it always felt to explore his house and the pond that was behind it - and driving past the “castle” on the way to his place made it feel like an adventure every time. I hope he’s resting easy, and I’m sending love to everyone who is missing him.

Hey Dad:
Barbara and I are planning on celebrating your wonderful life today. We plan on starting off with a toast of Jim Beam at the Turtle Bar on the Island. Afterword we plan on sitting by the lake and bike path where we used to walk and ride. We plan on listening to your favorite Glen Campbell album as we reminisce over the happy times we shared. We plan on finishing the day with a great plate of Orange Beef and a Budweiser at Golden Phoenix. We love you very much and will miss you every day. Until we meet again, peace be with you!
