Stellene and Lyle Matzdorff in February 2018 at their home. I took these for a story I wrote about one of Havasu's first neighborhoods. Stellene and Lyle were two of the early founders and leaders of Lake Havasu, and were involved in every major event of the city's early years.

Dear Lyle, Lance, Lonnie and Lenny,
I'm so sorry for your loss. I was so glad to meet Stellene when I wrote the article about how Lyle and Stellene became the early pioneers of Lake Havasu City. She corrected my notes and told me all about the history of Site Six and the first Easter Egg Hunt. May you find comfort and peace knowing she lived a full, rich life and loved you all dearly.

As one of Stellene’s hairdressers for the last 10 years I would like to sent my condolences to Lyle and family. She was a wonderful lady and enjoyed doing her hair. She will be greatly missed. I’m sorry I can not attend the services as I am going to be in California taking care of my very ill mother. I will be there in spirit.
