When I was 9 my real dad died of a massive heart attack and a couple of years later my mom met Jim, he was a school bus driver, I will be adding a pic of him in his school bus, I resented him so much because I felt like he was first trying to take my mom away from me and then trying to replace my dad but over the years he became my dad, He taught me how to get great grades in school, I remember I was terrible at math and one night he stayed up with me all night, till school was starting and he had to go to work that day himself just so that I would pass my test and I did!
I remember how proud he looked when I graduated.
He taught me to respect myself and others, he taught me discipline and he taught me to be a good son. My mom died in 2011 and I contacted him and made sure to visit as often as I could, my partner at the time brought him groceries and made sure that he had what he needed and we would sit and visit with him and have long talks, I made sure he knew what he meant to me and yet I still dont feel like I said it enough.
To me, you were my dad and I will miss and love you always!

Jim was a wonderful person. I was only 9 years old when I first met him being he was dating my sister Georgina. I loved him immediately and always thought of him as my dear big brother. In fact, I thought I would like to marry him when I grew up, but Jimmy said “I don’t think Georgie would like that”. He was forever there for me when I was a child growing up, With his hugs and caring ways and when I needed a kind word and a shoulder to rely on. We had many years with him until he and my sister broke up. But he always kept in touch whether in Canada or California. He will always be my brother whom I loved dearly. We had a lovely visit with him and his wife Brenda in Oregon. Our children adored Uncle Jimmy when he came to stay with us. In fact our entire family loved him. Rest In Peace dear brother. I will miss you and our chats and laughs as we reminisce together. Our love forever dear Jim.

My Dad was such a good father to me, growing up, He took us camping many times in the summers and we had such a wonderful family time together. later on as I got older, he helped with my first car, an old beat-up Kharmann Ghia, he was a great mechanic, and came to rescue me several times when things went wrong on the car. He was a good family man and father to us all. Thank you for being such a great Dad to me. I will miss you.
love, Nancy

Uncle Jim always put a smile on my face whenever I spoke with him, and will continue to do so whenever I think about him. He was a real inspiration to me. My love and sympathies to the family.

Jim was my big brother and I have a lot of precious memories from way back. He was also a good Dad to Dan, Nancy, and Jimmy. Because of distance and circumstances we were not able to be as close physically as I would have liked. However, we stayed in touch as best we could and Marina and I were really glad that we could go to Arizona five years ago and spend a little time with him. Jim went through life always making the best of the various situations he found himself in. He was willing to take risks and always seemed to have a positive outlook about things. All of us who knew him are the better for it. The last few years living alone have been especially hard. We love you but we have to let you go. Rest in peace Jim. Nancy we will keep you in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
