Obituary of Douglas Leroy Ott
Please share a memory of Douglas to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Douglas Leroy Ott, of Lake Havasu City, passed away at the age of 59 after his brave battle with cancer on July 25, 2018. He was born to Victor and Norma Ott on September 12, 1958 in Chicago, Illinois.
Doug was a good man with a big heart. He was blessed to find love twice in life. He was widowed after 20 years of marriage to Teala, his wife and mother of his two daughters. He met Shiane, and married his best friend on August 26, 2011. He has worked as a machinist for Kustom Key Productions for 29 years. He enjoyed garage sales, going to the casino, listening to music and TV time together with his wife at home. He was an avid sports fan and was proud to be related to Mel Ott, "Master Melvin", the right fielder for the San Francisco Giants from 1926-1947.
Doug is preceded in death by his first wife; Teala Ott, and his parents; Victor Ott and Norma Kungiles.
He is survived by his loving wife; Shiane Ott, daughters; Sheila Adsit, and Tona Ott, sister; Theresa (Frank) Palomares, nieces; Kaela and Britnie, and eight grandchildren.
The family would like to give special thanks to Hospice of Havasu for their excellent care and compassion for Doug and much gratitude to Mike Vetter of Kustom Key for all his love and support to the family. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Hospice of Havasu.
