Charles Evan Schreyer, Jr. June 9, 1923 - December 29, 2012 Chuck Schreyer was born in Port Chester, New York to Charles and Betty Schreyer, and grew up in the town of Mamaroneck, New York. He interrupted his education at North Carolina State University to serve with distinction in the US Army 100th Division as Infantry Unit Commander in WWII in Europe. He was the recipient of the Bronze Star and the Oak Leaf Cluster medals for bravery. Upon returning home after the war and completing his BS degree in Forestry he met and, on February 18, 1950, married Ann Esther Kimball. They moved to Scarsdale, NY and Chuck joined his father in the plumbing business. In 1969 Chuck moved his family and plumbing business to Lake Havasu City. He was an active community member, joining the men's gold club, the volunteer fire department, the Golden K, and volunteering at the Food Bank.
