John Schmidbauer posted a condolence

My name is John Schmidbauer. I met Dale when we were about 10 years old. He lived on Algonquin Parkway and I lived on Gunckel Blvd in Toledo Ohio. We were friends for many years and he was always there when I needed help. We attended different schools but were always together till he entered the army. They say "imitation is the greatest form of flattery" and I have to say I admired Dale to the extent I imitated many of his experiences. Dale had a blue chevy monza so I purchased a red chevy monza; Dale had an MG 3 so I bought a sports car; Dale and Candace moved to Lake Havasu so when I retired we moved to Lake Havasu. We did not socialize together but I always hoped we could be good friends again. Dale will be missed primarily for his extremely good nature and willing laughter. I never, never, saw Dale in a bad mood or upset about anything. I admired him dearly.
